Intermediate Architect – Soho Design Studio

About the role
Carlos Zapata Studio, an award‑winning design firm, is looking for an intermediate architect to join its Soho office in New York. The role involves taking projects from concept through construction documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate design concepts for commercial, hospitality and mixed‑use projects.
- Produce construction documents and detailed drawings from schematic design to final set.
- Collaborate with consultants, engineers and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Manage project schedules and deliverables to meet client deadlines.
Required profile
- Architectural license preferred.
- 5–7 years of full‑time architectural experience.
- Proven experience with commercial, hospitality and mixed‑use projects.
- Strong visualization abilities and knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC).
Required skills
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere (mandatory)
- Rhino 3D (mandatory)
- Revit (preferred)
- Twinmotion (preferred)
