Interim VP of Finance / Corporate Controller

About the role

This interim position reports directly to the CEO of a fast‑growing distribution company in Denver. The role combines senior financial leadership with hands‑on oversight of accounting, reporting, treasury, budgeting and acquisition integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage treasury activities, cash flow forecasting and lender reporting.
• Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Oversee financial integration of acquisitions, including due‑diligence and post‑close reporting.
• Implement and monitor internal controls and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Prior experience as a controller, corporate controller, VP of Finance or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience in a private‑equity backed, distribution, manufacturing or inventory‑based business is strongly preferred.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using CRM platforms.
• Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
