About the role

Tarleton State University seeks an Instructor or Professional Assistant Professor of Real Estate to join its Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics. This 9‑month, non‑tenure‑track position involves teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly activity within a vibrant, inclusive academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate real‑estate courses on‑campus and/or online.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools.
• Advise and mentor students pursuing real‑estate studies.
• Engage in research, publications, and professional service related to real estate, finance, or economics.
• Participate in departmental committees and university service activities.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD) in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the college level.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and research.
• Ability to teach in various instructional modalities as needed.
