Instructional Design Specialist – Learning & Development

About the role

The Instructional Design Specialist will create engaging learning experiences that support Nestlé USA’s people, capability, and business priorities. Working within the Learning & Organizational Development team, you will apply adult‑learning principles to develop instructor‑led, virtual and eLearning solutions that are accessible and aligned to business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop instructor‑led, virtual, blended and eLearning content using sound instructional design methodology and adult learning principles.
• Partner with subject‑matter experts to define learning objectives, create storyboards, scripts and digital assets such as videos, simulations and job aids.
• Load, test and maintain courses in the LMS, manage SCORM/AICC packages and support user‑acceptance testing.
• Manage multiple design projects, develop timelines, budgets and provide guidance to facilitators and trainers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Learning or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of end‑to‑end instructional design experience in a corporate or educational setting.
• Experience applying instructional design frameworks, adult learning principles and evaluating learning with Kirkpatrick or similar methods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
• Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, including uploading and testing SCORM/AICC content.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for graphic and multimedia development.
