About the role
Texas A&M International University seeks an Instructional Assistant Professor to join its College of Nursing and Health Sciences beginning Fall 2027. This full‑time, non‑tenure‑track, nine‑month appointment focuses on teaching undergraduate kinesiology courses and supporting student success on campus.
Key responsibilities
- Teach 15 semester credit hours per semester in subjects such as biomechanics, exercise physiology, athletic training, and adapted physical activity.
- Provide review sessions and academic support to undergraduate students.
- Contribute service to the college, university, and broader community.
- Maintain regular on‑site presence and engage in face‑to‑face interactions with students and faculty.
Required profile
- Earned PhD in Exercise Science or a related kinesiology field with at least 18 graduate credit hours.
- Previous collegiate teaching experience.
- Flexibility to schedule evening or weekend classes as needed.
- Ability to deliver content in in‑person, hybrid, and online formats.
- Preferred certifications: NSCA CPT, NSCA CSCS, or ACSM.
