Inside Sales Representative – Distribution

About the role

The Inside Sales Representative will establish and maintain customer relationships, driving sales growth through virtual selling, upselling and cross‑selling strategically aligned products within focused markets. Leveraging detailed product and market knowledge, you will support distribution partners and customers to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive 3M sales to assigned customers within managed territories.
• Establish and maintain relationships by understanding customers’ business and sales models.
• Introduce new products and communicate promotions to relevant customers and prospects.
• Maintain and update a sales plan with strategies and tactics to meet annual forecasts.
• Demonstrate procedural and technical product knowledge to identify solutions that meet customer needs.
• Achieve sales quota, quality, and productivity metrics while sharing best practices with the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Experience in outside or inside sales and account management.
• Ability to work effectively in a sales team and develop account business plans.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Power BI for pipeline management.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability to a rapidly changing environment.

What we offer

• Base salary range $71,374 – $87,235 per year plus variable incentive pay.

• On‑site work at the 3M Center in Austin, TX (minimum four days per week).
