Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Join the inpatient pharmacy team at Kingman Regional Medical Center, supporting registered pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications and delivering exceptional service to patients. This full‑time rotating position ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of medication orders while complying with legal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through all pharmacy work areas, preparing medications and supplies, including sterile preparations.
• Fill Pyxis machines, run reports, and expedite prescription processing according to policy.
• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation for patient discharge.
• Communicate with third‑party providers to verify eligibility and obtain prior authorizations.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary prescription area.
• Collect patient medication histories and update medication profiles.
• Answer telephone calls and assist customers at the counter or window.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental effectiveness.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED or Pharmacy Technician associate degree.
• Arizona Pharmacy Technician License or Trainee License.
• PTCB National Technician Certification.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of computer technology.
• Accurate typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
• Strong mathematical computation abilities.
