About the role
Ochsner Health seeks an Inpatient Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and deliver therapy programs based on physician orders. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve their specific functional goals and transition safely to post‑acute or home care.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for inpatient populations.
- Monitor patient response to therapy, adjust plans as needed, and document progress according to hospital standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with documentation policies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to meet hospital quality and safety targets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Required skills
- Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
