Infrastructure Tax Lead

About the role

Anthropic is investing heavily in compute infrastructure to advance AI safety. The Infrastructure Tax Lead will own the end‑to‑end tax strategy for datacenter projects, working closely with the Infrastructure team and multiple cross‑functional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the embedded tax partner on deal intake, reviewing site specs, counterparty structures, and commercial contracts for tax clauses.
• Design and operationalize datacenter entity structures across jurisdictions, handling formation, documentation, withholding, and permanent establishment risk.
• Collaborate with incentives, accounting, FP&A, transfer pricing, and tax provision teams to ensure integrated tax positions and compliance.
• Develop and maintain tax playbooks, issue‑spotting checklists, and scalable processes for high‑volume deal flow.

Required profile

• In‑house tax experience at a hyperscaler, cloud provider, or large‑scale datacenter operator.
• Proven ability to stand up multi‑jurisdictional entity structures with contemporaneous documentation.
• Strong cross‑functional coordination skills, comfortable leading without formal authority.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication to translate complex tax positions for leadership.
