Infrastructure Engineer – Member of Technical Staff

About the role

Simile is building the infrastructure that powers large‑scale AI simulations of human behavior. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will own the design, implementation, and operation of multi‑cloud systems that must be secure, highly available, and cost‑efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Design and scale multi‑region architectures across AWS and GCP to meet global data residency and failover requirements.
• Manage the company’s multi‑cloud footprint with a focus on high availability, cost efficiency, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Build “paved paths” for VPC peering, PrivateLink, and BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) solutions for enterprise customers.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks, including latency tracking (p99) and Service Level Objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance, security, and reliability at global scale.

Required profile

• Strong experience with cloud networking, distributed systems, and enterprise‑grade privacy.
• Proven ability to operate large‑scale infrastructure in production environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a bias toward automation.
