About the role
Google's Security team is looking for an Information Security Engineer to help make our products safer. You will work on protecting network boundaries, hardening systems, and providing security services for highly sensitive data.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor network and system infrastructure for attacks and intrusions.
- Collaborate with software engineers to identify and remediate security flaws.
- Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
- Perform web‑application scanning, vulnerability research, and security data analysis.
- Lead the resolution of complex security incidents and policy questions.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in security assessments, design reviews, or threat modeling.
- 2+ years of experience in security engineering, computer/network security, and security protocols.
- 2+ years of coding experience in a general‑purpose language.
- Preferred experience in network risk mitigation, application security, cryptography, and systems security.
