Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Rise Power Systems is looking for a hands‑on Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes, drive efficiency, and support new product introductions in its Raleigh, NC facility. The role is full‑time and focuses on optimizing workflows, establishing standards, and collaborating across functions.

Key responsibilities

• Create work instructions, routing, and labor standards for manufacturing operations.
• Develop and optimize process layouts, workflows, and equipment utilization.
• Support new product launches, including design‑for‑manufacturing, prototype builds, and readiness assessments.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using lean tools such as 5S, value‑stream mapping, and kaizen.
• Analyze productivity, cycle time, and cost performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Quality to resolve production issues and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Define tooling, equipment, and process requirements for current and future production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with lean manufacturing methodologies (5S, VSM, kaizen).
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Epicor.
• Strong documentation and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing techniques (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen).
• ERP/MRP platforms – SAP, Oracle, Epicor.
• Process documentation and standard work creation.
• Lean Six Sigma concepts (certification preferred).
• Electrical/electromechanical manufacturing knowledge (preferred).
