Industrial Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)

About the role

Industrial Maintenance Technicians work alongside production teams to continuously improve equipment reliability in a high‑speed manufacturing environment. They ensure the plant meets the highest quality standards while driving plant goals through individual projects and continuous‑improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders and provide maintenance support on 480‑volt, 3‑phase systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, gearboxes, bearings, valves, pumps, hydraulics and lube routes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs and variable‑speed drives (ControlLogix, PLC5, Siemens PCS7).
• Interpret schematics and equipment manuals, adhering to safety and sanitation requirements.
• Use SAP to document corrective and preventive maintenance, issue parts, and record inspection data.
• Participate in work‑order planning, part staging, and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Drive plant objectives through individually led projects and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years of industrial mechanical/electrical experience or a related technical degree.
• Strong knowledge of process controls, instrumentation, calibration, and servo/hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and perform mechanical repairs.
• Experience with PLC programming, drive installation, and parameterization (Siemens MM4, Allen Bradley preferred).
• Familiarity with safety policies (lock‑out/tag‑out, confined‑space entry) and 5S standards.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lb and work varying temperatures.
