About the role
The Industrial Maintenance & Operations Specialist will perform technical assessments, functional testing, and audits of material handling equipment, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as industrial facility infrastructure. The role requires advanced technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a safety‑first mindset to evaluate equipment condition, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive technical audits and field assessments of material handling, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
- Collect and document arc‑flash data, equipment nameplates, electrical ratings, and verify compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.
- Evaluate mechanical and electrical infrastructure up to 480 V, reviewing maintenance histories, CMMS records, and BAS controls.
- Interpret architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings, inspection reports, and warranty information to support assessments.
- Prepare detailed technical reports summarising findings, deficiencies, trends and recommendations for clients.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree, trade school diploma or associate degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Journeyman credentials in mechanical or electrical disciplines preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in equipment maintenance, building inspections or industrial assessments desired.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, Qualified Electrical Worker practices and OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to work independently, travel to sites and maintain a safety‑first mindset.
