Inbound / Outbound Coordinator – Third Shift

About the role

With limited supervision, the Inbound/Outbound Coordinator ensures smooth freight flow on the third shift by managing inventory, coordinating inbound and outbound activities, and acting as a SAP subject‑matter expert. The role supports the distribution center’s critical time goals and participates in continuous‑improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assign daily workload for picking, loading and receiving through SWOP/SAP EWM based on appointments and priority.
• Use the PINC yard‑management system to schedule trailer moves and align doors for shipping and receiving.
• Perform periodic audits of PINC, bills of lading, ICC and quality documents to ensure compliance.
• Communicate workload changes and resolve flow issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Compile daily reports on workload status and past‑due carriers.
• Support inventory control, order maintenance, FIFO, and fill‑rate initiatives to achieve 100 % shipment accuracy.
• Participate in operational initiatives, projects and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in logistics or warehouse operations, including labor planning and equipment handling (forklifts, sit‑downs).
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (EWM) and SAP preferred.
• Ability to train and mentor peers.
• Strong urgency and ability to resolve transaction errors with minimal supervision.
