About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking an Identity & Driver Credential Specialist 1 to work in a high‑volume Customer Service Center. You will assist residents with licensing, permits, and identity cards while delivering courteous, accurate service.

Key responsibilities

• Process applications, records and documents for learner’s permits, driver licenses, and identity cards.
• Conduct road‑skill tests for motorcycles and commercial vehicles in various weather conditions.
• Operate visual testing equipment and collect payments by cash or credit card.
• Provide guidance to customers, answer questions, and handle difficult situations professionally.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Georgia Class C driver’s license (or equivalent) maintained throughout employment.
• Minimum one year of face‑to‑face customer service experience within the past five years.
• Experience handling cash transactions and credit‑card processing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings.
