ICU Lead Registered Nurse – Days

About the role

The ICU Lead RN works day shifts in the intensive care unit, delivering compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care under the direction of physicians and in compliance with the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act. The role includes orienting new staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, preventing healthcare‑acquired conditions and supporting patient satisfaction.

Required profile

• Current, valid Arizona RN license (or compact state license) and BLS certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in acute or intensive care settings.

Required skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Basic EKG competency.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification.
