HVAC Residential Apprentice

About the role

Join a family‑owned business celebrating over 50 years of service as an HVAC Residential Apprentice. You will work in an ethical, positive environment and receive hands‑on training the Kielty way, preparing you for a long‑term career in heating and cooling.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians with replacement and installation of heating and cooling equipment in residential and commercial settings.
• Recharge and replace Freon, diagnose HVAC problems, and generate solutions.
• Deliver parts and equipment for off‑site job orders and assist with ductwork installation and copper‑fitting brazing.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspaces, tools, inventory, and company vehicle.

Required profile

• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background and drug testing.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and punctuality.
• Commit to cleaning up after work in customers’ homes and maintaining a safe job site.

Required skills

• Installation of HVAC systems (residential and commercial).
• Freon recharge and replacement.
• Diagnosing heating and air‑conditioning issues.
• Installation of ductwork and brazing copper fittings.
• Installation of refrigeration, exhaust fan, and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Replacing thermostats, evaporator coils, and compressors.
