HVAC Laboratory Technician – 3rd Shift

About the role

This onsite position in Plano, TX supports our clients by setting up and executing HVAC equipment tests on the 3rd shift (11 pm‑7:30 am). You will work closely with engineering staff and customers to ensure accurate test results.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, adapt, and operate test equipment and laboratory machinery for HVAC performance testing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and test datasheets.
• Execute defined test plans, record observations, and prepare detailed test reports.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of test equipment.
• Communicate with customers during setup and operation to confirm test methods and results.
• Suggest equipment improvements and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Vocational training or a 2‑year degree in HVAC.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Prior HVAC installation, repair, or testing experience (preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work the 3rd‑shift schedule.
