HR Business Partner V – Advanced Packaging

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner V to support the Advanced Packaging business unit in Santa Clara. The role partners with senior leaders to drive HR strategy, talent development, and change initiatives that align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Shape HR strategies and priorities to align with business unit objectives and culture.
• Conduct organizational and talent assessments, develop talent pipelines, and manage succession planning.
• Design and implement change‑management, communication, and engagement programs.
• Coach and develop executive leadership, handling performance, disciplinary actions, and career development.
• Partner with COE and HR Operations to deliver HR initiatives, leveraging tools such as Workforce Dashboard and Workday.
• Support M&A diligence and integration activities from an HR perspective.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in HR disciplines with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen to anticipate regulatory and operational issues.
• Proven leadership in managing complex, high‑risk projects.
• Advanced problem‑solving skills to devise innovative solutions.
• Ability to impact resource allocation and program direction.
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills at senior levels.
