About the role
Applied Materials is seeking an HR Business Partner to support multiple client groups, including the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, Display Flexible Technology and corporate functions. The role will deliver core HR services, enable manager and team effectiveness, ensure global consistency and provide an exceptional employee experience.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively shape HR business unit and function strategies and priorities to align with business goals and evolving needs.
- Diagnose performance gaps and provide interventions to optimize business performance at the leadership level.
- Conduct organizational and talent assessments, develop talent pipelines, and build workforce capability through selection, development and succession planning.
- Design and implement change‑management, communication and engagement strategies within the business unit.
- Partner, coach and develop executive leadership and management, including counseling, career development and performance management.
- Leverage COE and HR Operations to deliver HR initiatives while balancing enterprise‑wide and local requirements.
- Utilize tools such as Workforce Dashboard and Workday to perform analytics supporting business strategy.
- Participate in M&A diligence and integration activities from an HR perspective as required.
Required profile
- Demonstrates deep expertise in HR discipline and broad knowledge of related functions.
- Anticipates business and regulatory issues and recommends process or service improvements.
- Leads complex, high‑risk projects and develops execution strategies.
- Solves unique, high‑impact problems using conceptual and innovative thinking.
- Influences direction and resource allocation for programs while adhering to policies and industry guidelines.
- Communicates complex ideas, anticipates objections and persuades senior stakeholders to adopt new perspectives.

- Salary range $154,000 – $212,000 per year.
- Location in Santa Clara, CA with 10 % travel.
