About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper 2 to join the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in Augusta. Working under general supervision, you will help maintain clean, safe, and orderly environments across state facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and upkeep of assigned areas.
• Ensure all facilities meet health and safety standards.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as directed.
• Support day‑shift operations and respond to immediate cleaning requests.

Required profile

• At least one (1) year of experience in a related housekeeping or custodial role, or equivalent experience as a Housekeeper 1 (FES040).
• Ability to work under general supervision and follow established cleaning protocols.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors.
