About the role

The Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah is seeking a reliable Housekeeper for the 1st shift. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors in a state‑funded mental health facility.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and straighten assigned patient rooms, common areas, and support spaces.
• Collect, sort, launder, transport, and distribute linens and uniforms.
• Maintain housekeeping supplies and restock as needed.
• Dispose of contaminated waste following safety protocols.
• Operate hand tools and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of housekeeping practices and cleaning chemicals.
• Physical ability to lift 25‑50 lb and to squat, stoop, or bend regularly.
• Willingness to undergo state and national background checks.
• Compliance with required health screenings, vaccinations, and drug testing.
