Household Manager & Family Assistant with Meal Prep Support

About the role

We are a warm family of four in Norwell, MA, seeking a proactive Household Manager & Family Assistant to keep our home running smoothly while we work. The role works closely with our virtual family advisor, handling in‑person execution of daily tasks, meal preparation, and organization.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain practical household organization systems and complete daily resets.
• Prepare and batch‑cook family meals from a rotating 3‑week plan, including grocery handling.
• Manage laundry, linen care, and ironing of special garments.
• Maintain inventory, handle deliveries, returns, and run household supply lists.
• Support family logistics: organize school paperwork, pack backpacks, and provide occasional light childcare.
• Oversee vendors such as cleaners, landscapers, and coordinate household repairs.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance, fuel, and track registration/insurance.

Required profile

• Proactive, organized and comfortable taking ownership without constant supervision.
• Systems‑builder with a project‑management mindset for home organization.
• Confident home cook able to follow recipes and manage meal plans.
• Independent time‑manager who can balance recurring duties with longer‑term projects.
• Collaborative, tech‑savvy and comfortable using shared calendars and task‑management tools.
• Warm and comfortable around school‑aged children, able to provide light supervision.
