Household Manager & Family Assistant (Meal Prep)

About the role

We are a busy family of four in New York City seeking a long‑term Household Manager & Family Assistant to keep our home running smoothly. The role combines organization, meal preparation and coordination of errands, vendors and occasional projects, working 12‑18 hours per week on flexible days.

Key responsibilities

• Overhaul and maintain household organization systems, perform daily resets and light tidying between professional cleanings.
• Plan, shop for and batch‑cook healthy high‑protein, low‑carb, gluten‑free meals for one family member each week.
• Manage inventory of pantry, refrigerator and household supplies; restock and track shopping lists.
• Coordinate errands, returns, dry‑cleaning, gift purchases and incoming mail or packages.
• Research and schedule trusted service providers for home‑improvement projects, seasonal décor swaps and indoor‑plant care.
• Assist with travel planning, appointment scheduling, receipt tracking and occasional administrative support.
• Support vacation‑property maintenance, guest coordination and storm‑preparation tasks.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable professional who proactively identifies household needs and creates efficient systems.
• Passionate home cook comfortable preparing scratch meals that meet high‑protein, low‑carb, gluten‑free and low‑sugar guidelines.
• Warm, discreet and trustworthy individual who can work independently while maintaining a calm, positive presence.
• Able to handle multiple hats – from plant care and errands to vendor management and occasional admin tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to maintain a smoke‑free, fragrance‑free environment.
