Household Manager & Family Assistant (Childcare & Housekeeping Focus)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Household Manager and Family Assistant to support a busy family of four in Armonk, NY. The role combines childcare, housekeeping, meal planning and general household coordination on a part‑time basis (20‑25 hours per week). The ideal candidate will keep the home running smoothly, anticipate needs, and provide reliable support for both parents and children.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off children at school, bus stops and extracurricular activities, and supervise playdates.
• Maintain household organization systems, perform daily tidying, bedroom resets, and prepare the home for bi‑weekly cleaners.
• Plan and prepare 2–4 family dinners per week, pack school lunches and healthy snacks, and handle grocery shopping.
• Manage pantry, fridge and household supply inventories, and run errands such as dry cleaning and travel items.
• Wash, fold and put away all family laundry, maintain linens and keep laundry areas tidy.
• Perform occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards) and oversee special organization projects.
• Care for the family dog by cleaning bowls, maintaining food and water, and brief outings.
• Coordinate vendor access, greet cleaners, contractors and landscapers, and oversee outdoor spaces.
• Support family calendar using Skylight Calendar and assist with occasional vehicle care.

Required profile

• Proactive, highly organized and able to anticipate household needs before they arise.
• Loves working with young children, remains calm and patient with toddlers, and respects parental discipline guidelines.
• Reliable and punctual with a clean driving record; comfortable driving children in various weather conditions.
• CPR and First Aid certified, up‑to‑date on vaccinations, and authorized to work in the United States.
• Flexible, able to adapt to changing schedules and willing to take on any task needed to keep the home running.
