House Manager with Meal Prep Expertise

About the role

We are a professional couple seeking a proactive, trustworthy House Manager to keep our Menlo Park home running smoothly. The role is part‑time (15–20 hours/week) on a 1099 contract, focusing on household organization and healthy meal preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an organized home environment, tidy rooms daily, and oversee closets, pantry and storage organization.
• Manage household inventory, restock pantry staples, toiletries and cleaning supplies, and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Plan, shop for and prepare 2–3 paleo‑inspired, gluten‑ and dairy‑free meals each week, including extra portions for later.
• Handle errands such as post office runs, returns, deliveries and vehicle upkeep (wash, service scheduling).
• Perform laundry duties, fold and put away linens, and steam or iron clothing as needed.
• Provide light pet care for a small dog and a cat, including walks or daycare drop‑offs and maintaining pet supplies.
• Assist with travel planning, packing, and occasional house‑sitting while the family is away.

Required profile

• Calm, organized and self‑motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Enjoys cooking and is comfortable preparing paleo, gluten‑free and dairy‑free meals.
• Reliable transportation, able to pass a background check and maintain a smoke‑free environment.
• Comfortable around pets and willing to handle occasional pet‑related tasks.
