House Manager & Nanny – Brooklyn, NY

About the role

We are a vibrant, multilingual family of four in Brooklyn seeking a dedicated House Manager & Nanny to join our household. The role blends professional household management with attentive after‑school childcare, supporting our two children under ten and keeping our home running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Morning school pickups and daily after‑school pick‑ups, preparing backpacks, snacks and clothing.
• Provide nanny‑level care after school: park visits, playdates, snacks, and homework assistance.
• Travel with the family a few times per year to deliver childcare and light household support.
• Monday morning house reset: tidy, dishes, surface cleaning, and prep for the weekly cleaning team.
• Maintain household organization systems, seasonal clothing swaps, and holiday/guest preparation.
• Manage inventory, restock pantry and household supplies, handle returns, dry cleaning and gift shopping.
• Plan and prep healthy meals 2‑3 times per week, including snack and school‑lunch preparation.
• Full family laundry, ironing, sheet changes and special garment care.
• Oversee cleaning team, contractors, landscapers and coordinate repairs.
• Occasional deep‑cleaning projects, drop‑zone refreshes and organizational tasks for toys and seasonal gear.

Required profile

• Proactive, calm and flexible with a natural ability to anticipate household needs.
• Loves children, enjoys outdoor activities and can balance multiple responsibilities with poise.
• Comfortable traveling internationally with the family and providing seamless childcare on the road.
• Project‑manager mindset: creates systems, stays organized and communicates clearly.
• Respectful of professional boundaries while offering genuine warmth and care.

What we offer

• Compensation: $35‑38 per hour (W‑2).
• Health stipend and paid time off.
• Full‑time schedule: 45‑50 hours/week, Monday‑Friday 9 am‑7 pm with flexibility.
• Start date: first week of September.
