House Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, part‑time House Manager to keep our busy St. Louis household running smoothly. You will work independently while the parents are at the office, handling daily organization, light cleaning, pet care, and occasional errands.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain organization systems in the mudroom, kitchen, and kids' playroom; perform daily resets such as tidying, dishes, surface wiping, and vacuuming high‑traffic areas.
• Prepare the home for the bi‑weekly cleaning service, change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors as needed.
• Handle occasional deep‑cleaning tasks (baseboards, oven, refrigerator) and support one‑off clean‑out projects.
• Monitor household supplies, add items to a shared shopping list, and bring packages inside.
• Assist with meal prep by chopping fruits and vegetables and cleaning up after cooking.
• Support pet care by monitoring robotic litter boxes, restocking pet supplies, and following household pet rules.
• Coordinate donation drop‑offs and let in scheduled repair or service professionals.

Required profile

• Proactive, independent self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable making judgment calls and prioritizing results over perfection.
• Animal lover comfortable around dogs and cats.
• Reliable transportation and ability to maintain a smoke‑free environment.
• Willingness to perform occasional seasonal swaps of kids' clothing and bedding.
