House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned household professional to support a busy family of six in Austin. The role combines daily home management, child supervision, and meal‑prep assistance, allowing the parents to focus on their careers while maintaining a warm, organized home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Reset and tidy main living spaces, load/unload dishwasher, vacuum high‑traffic areas, and manage kitchen cleanliness before and after dinner prep.
• Supervise children (ages 3‑6), ensure safety, engage in play, and handle school‑related tasks such as backpack preparation and occasional pick‑ups.
• Perform children’s laundry 1‑2 times per week, manage household linens, and coordinate deep‑cleaning projects as needed.
• Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, toys), track inventory, and run errands including grocery shopping and package handling.
• Plan and prep healthy meals/snacks, follow dietary preferences, and assist with basic meal preparation.
• Schedule and oversee service providers, manage vendor communications, and handle minor home‑maintenance coordination.
