House Manager & Family Assistant (Part-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive House Manager & Family Assistant to bring order and calm to our busy Manhattan Beach home. This part‑time position (10‑15 hours per week) supports a family of four with two teenagers, a cat, and frequent travel schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain organization systems throughout the house, including daily resets, light tidying, and vacuuming high‑traffic areas.
• Lead decluttering projects in closets, storage spaces, the garage, mudroom, and entryways, and coordinate donation pickups.
• Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies; manage online orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Costco, Target).
• Handle errands such as returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, mail processing, and package management.
• Coordinate family transportation, school pickups, and occasional vehicle upkeep, including maintenance scheduling and fueling.
• Oversee external vendors—cleaners, contractors, landscapers—and obtain quotes for repairs and seasonal maintenance.
• Manage household calendars, appointments, receipts, expenses, and basic budgeting.
• Provide light administrative support, including email and calendar management and travel booking.

Required profile

• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of projects with minimal direction.
• Trustworthy, tech‑savvy, and able to work independently while making thoughtful decisions for the household.
• Experience in household management, professional organizing, or a similar role is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a smoke‑free, cat‑friendly environment.
