House Manager & Family Assistant (Meal Planning & Prep)

About the role

We are a busy Upper West Side family seeking a part‑time House Manager and Family Assistant to support daily household operations, meal planning and preparation, and child and pet care. The role starts ASAP and offers $32‑$34 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Organize household systems, label items, and create storage solutions for closets, toys and baby gear.
• Plan, prepare and label healthy halal meals, wash and prep produce, and handle occasional grocery deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness in high‑use areas, wet‑mop floors, manage dishwasher and support light cleaning of shared spaces.
• Handle laundry by sorting, washing, folding, ironing and coordinating with an external laundry service.
• Run errands such as mail pickup, dry‑cleaning, trash and recycling, and support seasonal tasks.
• Care for indoor plants and a small dog, including feeding, walking and playtime.
• Provide occasional backup care and daily enrichment activities for a one‑year‑old toddler.

Required profile

• Non‑smoker, able to pass a background check and provide proof of flu and COVID vaccinations.
• Fluent English speaker, lives near the Upper West Side and is flexible with schedule.
• Patient, organized, proactive, reliable and comfortable working independently or with the family’s primary caretaker.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Notion or willingness to learn the platform for household management.
• General tech proficiency for using family systems applications and online ordering.
