House Manager and Family Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a warm, self‑directed House Manager and Family Assistant to support our busy, active family of three school‑age children and a new dog. The role is part‑time, Monday‑Friday, focusing on daily household organization, child support, and errands to keep the home running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up children from the bus stop, transport them to after‑school activities, and provide backup transportation as needed.
• Manage daily household reset: dishes, tidying, unloading dishwasher, and maintaining common areas.
• Handle all laundry from washing to folding, including delicates and bed linens.
• Restock pantry, refrigerator, pet supplies, and maintain shopping lists; manage subscriptions and returns.
• Coordinate with vendors, schedule minor maintenance, and oversee seasonal household projects.
• Provide pet care: walks, feeding, and vet or grooming appointments.
• Assist with light meal preparation, warm‑up meals for kids, and kitchen cleanup.
• Maintain the family vehicle for work use, ensuring it is fueled, clean, and scheduled for routine maintenance.

• Warm, reliable, and self‑motivated with a calm, positive presence in a busy household.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, initiative, and a genuine enjoyment of becoming part of a family’s daily life.
• Authorized to work in the United States, with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
