About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking an Hourly Nutritionist to provide professional health‑care services to its citizens. This position can be temporary (less than 9 months or under 30 hours per week) or permanent (more than 9 months and over 30 hours per week). You will work within a government‑run health team, supporting nutrition programs and individual counseling.
Key responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs of clients and develop personalized nutrition plans.
- Deliver education sessions, workshops, and one‑on‑one counseling.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition into broader health initiatives.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with state regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, providing reports to supervisors.
Required profile
- Relevant nutrition or dietetics qualification (e.g., RD, RDN, or equivalent).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, public‑service environment.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to public health.
Required skills
- Knowledge of nutrition assessment tools and dietary guidelines.
- Experience with client counseling and education.
- Familiarity with health record documentation.
