Host - Xfinity Center

About the role

The Host position provides exceptional guest service in the Premium Service Department, specifically in the restaurant environment at the Xfinity Center. The host greets and seats guests and works together with other service departments within the stadium. The role is open to all applicants who are at least 18 years old.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Exhibit professional and courteous behaviour at all times and present a neat appearance following uniform standards.
• Communicate effectively with guests, management and co-workers.
• Maintain the proper care of equipment and food and beverage items.
• Provide guests with personal service and attention to detail that exceeds their expectations.
• Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within the stadium.
• Set up and maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.
• Fulfil assigned opening and closing duties.
• Follow safety policies, procedures and regulations, and complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Two to three years of experience in a fast-paced bar, high-end club or restaurant.
• Ability to work all venue events, including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Sufficient mobility to perform production tasks such as constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling for long periods.
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage menu, specials and services offered.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation basics, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Ability to read, speak and write English.

Pay rate: $18 per hour.
