HIV Prevention Health Educator 2

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a dedicated HIV Prevention Health Educator to join the County Public Health team in Marietta. Under general supervision, you will help individuals and communities adopt healthier behaviors and reduce the spread of HIV.

Key responsibilities

• Assess community health needs and target HIV prevention efforts toward high‑risk populations.
• Provide outreach, education, and counseling to men who have sex with men, transgender women, and people of color.
• Conduct HIV testing, counseling, and linkage to care for high‑risk residents.
• Collect, analyze, and report data to guide program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Participate in community health fairs and deliver educational programs on HIV/AIDS and biomedical prevention tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social, behavioral, biological sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of experience in public health education or a closely related role.
