Helicopter Pilot – Training & Flight Operations

About the role

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking an experienced rotorcraft pilot to join its Flight Operations team. The role combines classroom instruction, advanced flight training, and production test flights, acting as the public face of AHI training for customer personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ground school instruction and classroom training for customer personnel (≈75% of time).
• Conduct advanced flight training, including normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, and perform production test, ferry and demonstration flights (≈20%).
• Provide administrative support such as flight‑related maintenance assistance, risk assessments, flight planning and documentation (≈5%).

Required profile

• Minimum five years of flight experience with at least 2,000 PIC hours in helicopters, including 500 turbine‑powered hours.
• FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate, Commercial helicopter license, IFR and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) ratings; ATP or CFII preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills

• FAA medical certification (First/Second Class).
• Commercial helicopter license with IFR rating.
• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) rating for helicopters.
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or Certified Instrument Flight Instructor – rotorcraft (CFII) preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience operating night‑vision goggles.
