Heavy Industrial Manual Machinist

About the role

CMMC Machine, LLC is seeking experienced manual machinists to produce high‑quality components in a heavy‑industrial environment. The role involves setting up and operating a range of manual machine tools with precision and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of manual machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to guide machining operations.
• Select, align, secure, and change cutting tools, fixtures and accessories safely.
• Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery.
• Operate lifting aids and follow safety procedures while working overtime as needed.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to access DoD facilities.
• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of related industrial machining experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring instruments and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a high‑noise environment.

Required skills

• Heavy‑duty horizontal lathes, milling machines, horizontal boring mills, vertical turning lathes, planers, grinders, drill presses, hydraulic presses, band saws and portable tools.
• Forklift and crane operation.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Use of gauges and precision measuring tools.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
