About the role
join9am is seeking a compassionate Health Coach to support members managing obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and weight concerns. This remote, contract‑based position leverages the company’s AI‑enabled virtual specialty care platform to deliver personalized lifestyle guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide motivational support and education to members via Zoom, using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques.
- Apply NBC‑HWC‑aligned standards to promote lasting behavior change in nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date calendar for member visit scheduling and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Personalize sessions using member data and reinforce nutrition plans created by 9amHealth RDs.
- Escalate member concerns and contribute to an exceptional, inclusive care experience.
Required profile
- Active NBC‑HWC certification.
- Prior experience working with a health and wellness organization.
- Strong empathy, excellent communication, and a genuine desire to help individuals with chronic conditions.
