Head Varsity Baseball Coach

About the role

Delaware County Christian School is seeking an energetic, mission‑driven Head Varsity Baseball Coach to lead its baseball program beginning in Spring 2027. The coach will develop student‑athletes, model professionalism, and uphold a Christ‑centered culture while delivering competitive performance on the field.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and conduct daily practices between 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
• Develop team rosters, create game plans, and ensure effective implementation.
• Travel with the team and drive a school van to practices or games as needed.
• Foster a positive, Christ‑centered team culture and maintain open communication with athletes, families, and the athletic department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Required profile

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the school’s Statement of Faith.
• Ability to articulate and model a Christian philosophy of athletics.
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, skills, and game strategy, with the ability to teach at the varsity level.
• Ability to plan, structure, and lead effective practices.
• Ability to organize and coach the team during games and competitive events.
• Previous high school, college, or professional baseball coaching experience preferred.
