Head Start Teacher – Kennett, MO

About the role

Provide a safe, supervised educational setting for children in Head Start/Early Head Start, encourage parent involvement, and implement curriculum to promote school readiness and transition to kindergarten.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise children in classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips.
• Coordinate and implement curriculum aligned with Head Start performance standards.
• Encourage parent involvement in all program aspects.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED with an Infant/Toddler CDA credential (or obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework.
• At least two years of classroom teaching experience with infants/toddlers or preschool‑age children, able to adapt curriculum for diverse needs.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including internet and email use.
