Head of Strategic Finance

About the role

Hello Patient is seeking its first Head of Strategic Finance to build and lead the finance function as the company scales. This high‑impact position works directly with senior leadership, shaping planning, performance measurement, and decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a long‑term financial model covering revenue, headcount, operating expenses, cash, and runway.
• Own the monthly and quarterly budget‑vs‑actuals process, analyze variances and provide insights to leadership.
• Prepare financial and operating reports for senior leadership and the board, including KPIs, burn, runway, and business trends.
• Support fundraising activities with forecasts, financial analyses, diligence materials, and investor communications.
• Manage external accountants and tax partners, ensuring accurate month‑end close.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, and People on headcount planning, budgets, investments, and business cases.
• Define and improve metrics such as ARR, retention, gross margin, and customer cohorts.
• Serve as point person for customer order forms and contracts, collaborating with Sales, Account Management, and legal counsel.
• Build the Revenue Operations function and work closely with sales and operations on forecasting.

Required profile

• Early career experience in investment banking or private equity, followed by strategic finance roles at high‑growth companies.
• Hands‑on builder comfortable owning detailed financial models, month‑end closes, and board reporting.
• Ability to develop finance and Revenue Operations functions as the organization expands.
