Head of Insurance

About the role

Brain Co. is seeking a Head of Insurance to lead its go‑to‑market strategy for AI‑driven solutions in the U.S. insurance market. Reporting to the COO, you will own the end‑to‑end sales motion for property & casualty, specialty, and life & annuities segments, building the first enterprise contracts and expanding them over time.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage and close enterprise insurance accounts, from initial conversation through pilot, contract and expansion.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers at carriers, MGAs, reinsurers and other insurance institutions.
• Generate pipeline using personal network, outbound outreach, industry events and broker referrals.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and leadership to translate customer pain points into AI‑based solutions.
• Define and refine the insurance vertical sales motion, including ICP definition, messaging, qualification, pricing and deal structure.
• Navigate complex buying processes across underwriting, claims, actuarial, distribution and technology stakeholders.
• Represent Brain Co. at conferences, customer meetings and strategic partner discussions.

Required profile

• Proven track record in enterprise sales within the insurance industry (P&C, specialty, life & annuities).
• Hunter mindset with experience closing first‑of‑its‑kind technology or AI deals.
• Strong network of senior insurance executives and ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Comfort working in a fast‑moving startup environment and shaping a new sales playbook.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
