Head of Demand Generation

About the role

Cogent Security is building autonomous cyber‑defense with AI agents and is looking for a Head of Demand Generation to own and scale all pipeline‑generating functions across marketing, including digital, partner, field, and sales development. Reporting to the Head of Growth, this senior player‑coach will shape the front‑end of the revenue engine and lead a growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the pipeline generation plan, including target mix, budget, quarterly plays and operating cadence.
• Design the Lead‑to‑SQL model, manage lead capture, routing, nurture, recycle and conversion expectations.
• Scale field and channel programs: repeatable events, regional plans, account targeting, partner workflows and reporting.
• Build digital, content, inbound, nurture and paid campaigns that amplify field and channel efforts.
• Develop ABM and whale‑hunting plays for named accounts, coordinating with sales and partnerships.
• Partner with RevOps, Finance, Sales and Partnerships to monitor funnel performance, ROI and pipeline coverage, and run a weekly operating loop to optimize tactics.

Required profile

• 10+ years of B2B demand generation, growth or integrated revenue marketing experience, preferably in enterprise cybersecurity or technical SaaS.
• Proven track record of owning pipeline targets, budgets, source mix and funnel conversion in close partnership with sales and finance.
• Experience building a demand generation function from the ground up, not just executing campaigns.
• Strong judgment on pipeline quality metrics such as meetings, sales‑accepted meetings, SQLs and qualified pipeline.
• Comfort working within a Growth organization that aligns revenue marketing, operations and sales leadership.
