Head of Capacity Planning

About the role

TensorWave is building a cloud platform that delivers secure, reliable AI compute at scale. As the Head of Capacity Planning you will own the end‑to‑end capacity planning process for our AMD Instinct GPU clusters across multiple U.S. data‑center sites, ensuring we have a clear, authoritative view of the fleet at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a single source of truth for total, committed, reserved, and sell‑able capacity across every site and GPU generation.
• Standardize capacity definitions, measurement, and reporting for consistent stakeholder visibility.
• Own the demand pipeline, track contracted ramps, expiries, renewal probabilities, and keep weighted pipeline separate from committed capacity.
• Publish sell‑able capacity by site, GPU type, and timeframe, providing Sales with up‑to‑date commitment limits.
• Partner with Sales and Deal Desk to validate feasibility of active deals and flag oversubscription risks early.
• Develop and maintain a multi‑year capacity strategy, aligning Infrastructure Operations, Finance, and leadership.
• Anticipate capacity constraints months ahead and drive cross‑functional decisions on deployments, reservations, and site expansions.
• Define and enforce buffer and oversubscription policies in collaboration with Operations and Finance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading capacity planning or operations for large‑scale compute or cloud environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate demand forecasts into actionable capacity plans.
• Excellent communication skills to work across Sales, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership.
• Comfortable influencing decisions and driving cross‑functional initiatives.
