Head Chef – Live-In Position

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a friendly local pub on the outskirts of Boston. This live‑in role offers the chance to create high‑quality dishes from scratch using fresh, locally sourced produce and seasonal ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
• Design seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Produce sauces, stocks, soups and desserts entirely from scratch.
• Maintain consistent food presentation and high culinary standards.
• Manage food ordering, stock levels and supplier relationships.
• Monitor food costs, minimise waste and ensure profitability.
• Uphold rigorous food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
• Cater for dietary requirements and special guest requests.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef, Sous‑Chef or Head Chef.
• Passion for cooking from scratch with fresh, seasonal produce.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Creative approach to menu planning and food presentation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food hygiene regulations.
• Familiarity with HACCP procedures.
