GTM Engineer - Systems and Infrastructure

About the role

Clay is building the core GTM infrastructure that powers its revenue platform. The GTM Engineer will design, build, and maintain critical systems such as Salesforce and the Clay platform, ensuring reliability and scalability as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Salesforce objects, flows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards for GTM teams.
• Develop and maintain CPQ and billing workflows, ensuring clean handoffs between sales, finance, and post‑sale teams.
• Engineer the internal Clay instance for scale and reliability, and lead the practice of GTM engineering.
• Connect Salesforce to adjacent systems via APIs, webhooks, and automation layers.
• Partner with GTM leaders to understand current revenue motion, identify break points, and automate workflows.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in Technical RevOps, GTM Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• At least 3 years focused on RevOps/Sales Ops or GTM Engineering.
• Proven track record building solutions with Python, JavaScript, SQL, SOQL, or TypeScript.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Salesforce (Flows, custom objects, validation rules, triggers, CPQ, billing).
• Experience integrating Salesforce with tools such as Gainsight, Vitally, or ChurnZero.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑moving, hyper‑growth environment.
