Growth Marketing Director

About the role

CNN is looking for a Growth Marketing Director to own the development, launch, and scaling of new subscriber growth initiatives across emerging audiences, products, and markets. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, marketing, and analytics, driving go‑to‑market plans that translate opportunities into measurable subscriber and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Strategy, Research, Product, and Business Development teams to evaluate market opportunities and prioritize investments.
• Develop business cases, audience strategies, and go‑to‑market recommendations for new subscription products and high‑potential segments such as students and military.
• Own end‑to‑end launch planning, including positioning, messaging frameworks, audience segmentation, customer journeys, pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies.
• Coordinate integrated marketing plans across acquisition, engagement, and retention channels to support product launches.
• Collaborate with Creative, Brand, Partnerships, and Analytics teams to ensure consistent execution and post‑launch optimization.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading consumer‑focused growth initiatives in a senior marketing role.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to synthesize market research into actionable strategies.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, comfortable working with product, editorial, and analytics teams.
• Track record of building and executing successful go‑to‑market plans for new products or audience segments.
