About the role
CHANEL is seeking a Group Director to lead Cyber Risk and Security Engineering within its Information Security team. Based in the New York City area, you will report directly to the Head of Information Security and be responsible for protecting the brand’s digital and physical assets.
Key responsibilities
- Strengthen CHANEL’s ability to identify, assess, and prioritize cyber risks and guide remediation decisions.
- Lead the design, implementation, and integration of security controls across all environments.
- Translate technical risks into actionable requirements and promote secure operations enterprise‑wide.
- Build and scale security awareness programs that drive measurable behavior change.
- Develop a scalable identity and access governance framework.
- Identify gaps in the information security program, advise on remediation, and influence adoption.
- Act as a decisive technology leader, making rapid recommendations within a complex, matrixed organization.
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience in security engineering, governance, and cyber risk.
- Strong risk‑management acumen and business judgement.
- Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with technology, legal, operations, retail and global partners.
