Groundskeeper – Property Maintenance

About the role

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the physical appearance and safety of the community’s grounds, amenities, and common areas. This full‑time role supports the service team and ensures the property meets Greystar’s high standards of curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping all common areas tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Commitment to safety procedures, hazard reporting, and adherence to Greystar’s risk‑management policies.
